Lithothamnion is a calcareous seaweed with a spongy (“honeycomb”) structure. These special properties explain its long-lasting and highly effective buffering effect in an acidic environment. Its effectiveness in neutralizing the acidic secretions of the stomach has been validated in horses. In tested horses, administering the same amount of lithothamnion as in the equivalent of 2 measures of CARE for a period of 30 days resulted in a significant reduction of ulcerated lesions.

scFOS has been shown to reduce the acidity of stomach contents in horses. As prebiotics they increase the amount and activity of intestinal flora that utilise lactic acid.

L-glutamine is an important source of energy for rapidly renewing cells, such as those in the digestive tract. This amino acid therefore contributes to maintaining the integrity of the gastric mucosa and helps to heal ulcerated lesions.

Zinc sulfate is involved in the rapid and long-lasting inhibition of acid secretion in the stomach.

• Suspected gastric ulcers in stressed horses
• Stressful situations such as long distance transportation, periods of intensive training, preparation for the sales ring, etc.
• Known presence of stomach ulcers, in addition to an adjusted diet.

• Preventive dose: 1 scoop (45 g)
• Recommended maximum dose: 2 scoops (90 g)
