Unika Balls Endurance

Unika has developed a completely new product that completely rethinks and innovates the concept of supplementary feed: it has been named Unika Balls and goes much further than just a pastime for horses.

Unika Balls looks like a ball with a rope of natural fibers with which the ball can be hung in the box or in the trailer, so that the horse can enjoy it all day long. It not only serves to keep the horse busy, but also makes it possible to add important substances such as medicinal plants, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and much more to its daily diet in a completely different way.

As a supplementary feed, we usually think of it as a powder or liquid that is added to the daily food ration in the feeder. However, Unika Balls completely reworks this concept by proposing a kind of food supplement that can be hung!

The composition of Unika Balls Endurance is tailored to meet the needs of a competition horse used for endurance in terms of:

• Immediately available energy
• Electrolytes that are perfectly soluble in water
• Amino acids useful for the physiological well-being of the muscles

Unika Balls Endurance contains a high level of fatty raw materials, such as rice flour (naturally rich in gamma-oryzanol, a substance known to stimulate muscle growth under load), which provide immediately available energy. Electrolytes compensate for the strong loss of salts caused by sweating and ensure that the horse remains hydrated. In particular, magnesium reduces the incidence of the “Flutter” phenomenon in tired horses. Amino acids help to reduce the presence of muscle lactic acid and also maintain intestinal motility. The addition of coconut oil (MTC) allows energy to be obtained from fats that are directly fed into the lymphatic circulation, without a digestive process occurring. This benefits the metabolism during the race, giving the horse an energy reserve that it can use during the race, without the release of lactic acid.
